Reading Company 2124 in Vermont

Reading Company No. 2124 is a coal fired 4-8-4 "Northern" type locomotive built in 1947 by Baldwin Locomotive Works. In addition to working for the railroad this locomotive appeared in the film From the Terrace with Joanne Woodward and Myrna Loy. Here the tired engine sits on rails surrounded by grass at Steamtown in Vermont. The photo was taken in 1978.
