Chicago

There are a few reasons I spent a couple of days in Chicago: 1) to visit the Museum of Science and Industry to see the Burlington Zephyr they have on display, 2) because Chicago is the rail hub of the US and 3) it's just a fun place to visit.

Here we see the carousel on Navy Pier and the pier from the observatory in the Hancock Tower, two unidentified skyscrapers, the Chicago skyline seen from Navy Pier and two lighthouses on Lake Michigan Chicago Harbor Southeast Guidewall Light is on the left, Chicago Harbor Light on the right.

At the Museum of Science and Industry I saw the Burlington Railroad's Pioneer Zephyr and the engineer's controls inside the Zephyr, the U-505 German World War II Type-IXc submarine that was captured in battle, and an artistic model of tall buildings in Chicago.
